A stage to gather, meet, experiment and be creative

The stage project for the public school auditorium of Torremaggiore in the province of Foggia was born in March 2022 thanks to the support and funding from Rilegno.
In a locality facing early school leaving, a well-equipped auditorium presents itself as a meeting and aggregation point that has the potential to offer artistic and civic development to people of all ages.
The working group not only designed the Stage but, through collaboration with the Design Department of the Milan Polytechnic, created the components and participated in the implementation in the school auditorium.
The assembly of the stage in Torremaggiore involved parents and teachers who made forces and resources available for the success of the project.

How it is made?
The choices made to reduce the environmental impact are many: from the selection of materials using raw fireproof chipboard panels from 100% recycled wood, to the construction method of the modules, up to the protective and finishing treatments of the wood.
The guiding principle was that of design for disassembling: at the end of their life, the components of the stage can be sent for recycling or reuse without "foreign" materials such as iron or plastic.
An experience of empowerment and professional and human growth for all the people involved: being craftsmen of a better future means raising awareness and providing the tools to be more aware and conscious.
